Warning: Email Scam

It has come to the attention of The Freemasons’ Grand Charity that a number of people are being randomly targeted with fraudulent emails. These claim to be from “the Masons of Bournemouth” or ‘Freemasons Society of Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth’ and announce that the recipient has been chosen to share in a pay out of Masonic charity money. The email may include a link to the Grand Charity website.

These emails are fraudulent and are in no way connected to The Freemasons’ Grand Charity or United Grand Lodge of England.

Under no circumstances does The Freemasons’ Grand Charity ever make unsolicited offers of assistance via email.

You are strongly advised against responding to these emails. The money and the group mentioned in the email do not exist. It is an attempt to obtain bank details and other personal information. If you are concerned you have responded to an email of this nature, please contact your local police station.
