Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund - £5,000 - November 2007

A £5,000 grant has been made to The Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund set up to support the families of four Warwickshire firefighters who died whilst tackling a blaze at a warehouse earlier this month.  The Fund has been established for those who wish to make a contribution to go directly to the families of the firefighters involved and will also help to provide a fitting memorial. 

The donation from The Freemasons' Grand Charity is part of nearly £32,000 given to the fund in conjunction with generous donations from Freemasons from Warwickshire, West Kent and Nottinghamshire.  On 28 November 2007, the Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire, Michael Price, CBE visited the headquarters of the Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service to present a cheque to the Chief Fire Officer in the presence of civic dignitaries and members of the Fire Service Lodge which meets at Stratford upon Avon.
