Eligibility

Masonic Qualification 

Any Freemason, past or present (under the United Grand Lodge of England) who is experiencing hardship may apply. The widows and certain other immediate dependants of the above may also apply.

Financial Qualification 

Savings and income levels will be taken into account in assessing applications. Please note, The Freemasons' Grand Charity does not take into account the value of the applicant's home.

As a general guide, almost anyone who receives additional support from the state by way of Pension Credit or other means-tested benefit, is likely to be eligible - evidence must be provided.

Grants are not intended to replace available state benefits, which should be secured before an application is submitted.
